How many horses does it take to kill a stock 40 Ford Banjo?

i agree, ive broken 2 axles off right behind the key, and sheered a key off another, and i keep my axle nuts tight. just the axles are small and there tapered, keyed shafts.
i run flatheads to and theres not a lot of horse power there...

 

The trick is what tires are you using, with 6:00x16's I ran a hot 301 Chev. with lots of trans problems but no rear troubles. Switched to big stickie tires and it was another story.
