There's one of those on my dad's 30 Model A Coupe. I haven't seen many pics of them back in the day, might be like racoon tails and poodle skirts, more of a throwback retro novelty, but not actually that common in the 1930s-50s.

Had a horn like that on my 1965 Chevelle Deluxe 300 in high school , in 1970. The Engine was a 230 inline 6..

You don’t have to be a geezer to know about those, I am only going to be 75 later this week, and remember them !

My 85 year old brother Tony who still has his 31 Model A Ford he bought used in 1956 has one as well which still works fine. The Wolf whistle was one of those cool accessories you had to have along with a Bermuda bell Back in the last Century.

I’ve never heard one before but would like to score one just for the nostalgia. Any sound bites of one on YouTube?!?

I'll be 67 in a few days, back when I was a kid some local old geezers I knew had them.
I was a child of the 60s performance era, so my forte into cars was that same era of cars (got my license in 72). They were not that popular among the crowd I was hanging with.

They can as they hook directly to the intake manifold.
I've got an original one that my dad picked up at B&B auto parts in Renton way back when and a newer one that I got a few years ago.

  17. How about a smokeless ash tray? Works off the same principle, the ashes are sucked into a can.

That term "GEEZER" since there are a lot of us on this site, that are 70 years old and older, at precisely what age, does the realm of being a geezer start at ?
Your mileage and results may vary !

When you pull the string to make it work, yes. If you're just chuck-a-lucking along in a Model A with the spark pushed up, it'll stumble.
There's little knack to make it actually sound like a wolf whistle, a quick yank and then a slow pull.

Even at 68, I have firmly embraced Geezerhood. It comes with many benefits. Prime among them being fine lookin' females carrying your industrial supply items out to your car.....while I am walking behind!

At any rate, I've never owned one. But the were always advertised in the JC Whitney catalog.

At 77 I am definitely an ole Geezer. Mind you I have not heard that term since I was a Whipper Snapper a zillion years ago.
