Well, I think they're re-popping them for around $12K (limited runs), so originals are probably worth at least that to someone.

Like so many other rare & exotic speed parts whose value has climbed out of sight, they're worth whatever someone is willing to pay for them.

I'm still kicking myself for swapping the V8-60 Audun I had for all the new repo parts to finish a 1932 Ford roadster. Up side I guess it that it will be powering someones '32 roadster in the future. Also had a NOS set of big Arduns that I sold to make the final payment on the plumbing on the house 26 years ago. Ya got to do what ya got to do.

I swear that I heard (or read) somewhere that a really nice original set changed hands for $30,000.

Was a set of supposedly original Ardun's at the NSRA meet in Springfield last weekend. Numbered 200 and 201. $15 grand.

Same guy had a set of repop covers, wanted like a grand for those.

Complete heads alone are worth that much. A fresh, running engine would be closer to $20k. More if it's got hi-po forged bottom end parts.

Speaking of kicking oneself, about 25 years ago a guy I worked with invited me over to hone the cylinders of my Model A banger at his shop. He and his dad had been into racing flatties for years and they had 5 sets of Arduns. The life cycle of flathead was at low ebb at the time and they sold off the Arduns for under $500 a pair and concentrated on the Bangers. Bet they're kicking themselves now!
