Some guys toss a nut into the cup and shake it. I just keep shaking it between panels. However, I use only HOK flakes. I haven't ever experimented into other brands so they're stuff might be way bigger, but I doubt it. The HOK big stuff is about as big as I would go before it starts looking like metalchunk and not metalflake.
"What do you use for an agitator to keep the flake from clogging up the gun? Curious, I haven't shot REAL big flake, but I am wanting to on my current project. I read most of the companies selling the flake suggest a 2.2 or 2.5 tip. " I allways used marbles or degreased ball bearings in the cup, syphon type, and kinda rolled them around every now & then to keep the flake suspended in the clear.
What kind of question is that? You gotta load that roof up or it just dont look right I learned that on mine I mean it looks good but you just don't get that great effect like when its bombed with flake. Thats very close to next on my agenda to flake the hell out of my roof.
