I've been e-mailing the guy for the past few days. First he told me it was in France so i asked if i could come and see it. He then replied saying it was actually in Spain, so i replied that i have family in Spain who live not far from where he was located who would come and look at it, still waiting for his reply.
Comes back as "Invalid Item" now. The first time it was listed it had a title that was jumbleled with SCoT and Ardun in the heading.
"Traditional and Gold Chainers are merging" True if you got the bread but not the time, desire or nous to shop around for what you need. After I was quoted AUD$ 4500 (for a rebuilt 4-71 here WTF??) for JUST the rebuilt the blower, no snout, pulleys, coupler, idler/bracket, belt no nadda), I managed to put the WHOLE shebang to gether including a killer intake for around 2 K all new with a nicely rebuilt 4-71. Baron and Navarro intakes although nice are around US$700, a killer Kiwi (if not better) 4-71 intake new is around US $250-300, how can you justify the extra coin ? So either ya got the ca$h or you got the time, the two can be mutually exclusive Ive found but there are exceptions too. The Internet has made international Hot Rodding feasible and in a lot of cases, downright more affordable. Now as far as ScOt blowers go ...yeah they may be kool an "exclusive" but to drop 13, 500 clam$ on a blower is an absolute wank IMO. "Traditional and Gold Chainers are merging" in this case is prob right on. One type of dude is the dude with the ca$h who is really buying bragging rights....(Ive got one of those rare blowers on my ride" ...kinda like the jokers who want the "power parking" at events. OTOH, hes a genuine collector whose loaded to the gills and can afford to splurge....then good on him, at least they are preserving parts that might be lost forever and are prepared to pay a premium to do so. For the rest of us we can only sit back and say WTF ?? Rat
