Around here you would be looking at a grand, 1500 if a guy really had to have it. All you guys saying 3-4-5 grand, where the hell are you when I've tried to pawn off moredoors???
Yes, lose the red wheels and white letters. Thin ww would be good, stock hub caps, not sure about the skirt idea though. Here in California you may be able to get $2500-$3500 if it's clean and runs well. The engine accessories may scare off the uninitiated first time cl***ic buyer though - maybe not. Basically, if you want to sell it; make it look clean and stock. If you wanna keep it; do what you like. I'm sorry but I still can't get past the 4 dr thing myself, I wouldn't buy it - not even for for the wife or kids. Man, as for that $15K 4dr; someone has their head deeply planted in their ******. Those TV shows strike again.
some of you guys make me laugh....A 65 Falcon is not a "Cl***ic" car nor will it ever be...Its just an old 4-door Ford..
You're right, but it seems to be what most non-experts call all the vehicles lined up at the cruise nights these days. I guess who is really to say what is "cl***ic" and what is not? I agree, it's just an unattractive old Falcon, IMO.
He saw one just like his sell at a B/J auction for 15 grand so that's what his is worth. Identical to his except it was a 2dr Sprint with a 260 and 4 speed and new paint and functional headliner and straight bumpers. That's the pricing logic of the numbskulls around this neck of the woods.
Nice cars like that native to the north east? Nah....all rotted to hell. I'll still stick to my $4k if there's no rust and it hasn't been monkeyed with.
It's $1k in Missouri. Looks like $3k on the coasts My grandad had one just like it. It got a fresh coat of brushed on Latex every spring whether it needed it or not!
I'm from the anti 4 door camp (unless it's a wagon", always called them 2 dr part cars. I have noticed lately that the younger crowd, the 20 somethings that want to get in the old car thing will often grab up a four door if it runs, particularly the gals, so they can jump right into the red wheels, wide whites and leopard print seat covers . Do to that, I'd say around here it would sell for around 2K. I agree, it needs body color wheels and thin white walls, the rwl make it too much a poser. Hot rod stuff on any 4 door really turns me off.
