Well we the flexplate was missing a tooth so we went to swap it out. To remove the driveshaft you have to unbolt the trans from it's mount and then jack it up about 6-8". Then it's just barely gets out.

Also you wouldn't believe the amount of speaker wire being used as actual auto wire. It's pretty funny. Were just about done with the 'life threatning' mods then it's just little stuff.

But at least the throttle cable was too long and held on by black tape.

this "motor mount" was pulled out of my friend's 51 pickup... yes there was another one just like it... the angle was tacked to the frame, and yes, that is wood...

I can just see someone sitting at a stop sign and when they rev it up the engine does a jelly-roll from under the hood and lands on the sidewalk! Now there's a head-scratchin' good time!

He's not my son in law! I wouldn't want to be related to him.

Isn't some of this crazy stuff also happening because people are smelling money? They buy a piece of rusted junk, tackweld some parts on it, put some duct tape, bondo and a rattle can paint job over it and put it on eBay for thousands..?

You're forced to almost unbolt the whole car before you can safely drive it after buying it these days...
