I guess I'm too young (18) but whats this "points" business all about? the only other time I've heard it used like that is in Bob Seger's Night Moves, "points all her own sitting way up high"

I don't think you're talking about ignition points...

    I don't get it [IMG]

    [/ QUOTE ]
    DUDE.......Seger was talkin' TITTIES.......

The "other" points are ignition points.........

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yep, too young to be hippies, too old to be gen-Xers...

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'd disagree. Douglas Cupland, who coined that phrase, was born in '61. He considered himself a Gen-Xer. '60 or '61 would be the oldest of the group if you believe in 20 year gen cycles.

Kids born in '80/'81 grew up in a much different lifestyle than those in the born in the 60's and mid/late 70's. So there you would have the end of the X's (61-79) and beginning of what some call Cybers [(80 - 00) due to the proliferation of home electronics and communication devices].

So you're an Xer whether you like it or not [IMG]

    I'm old enough to:

Remember, and have USED those plastic spacers for 45 rpm records...

Have driven before mandatory seatbelt laws...

Recall what it was like to have only about six or seven channels on the TV...

    The day that Elvis died...

    and...DISCO!!! [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

    35. Lucky enough to still have a full head of hair (altough it is a little grey). But I blame that on my kids. 10, 12 and 15. We started a little early, but I think that's what keeps me young. That and the sneaking out to the barn to work on the coupe...

  19. I'm 58 and STILL getting in trouble for drawing pictures of cars when I should be workin'. Now that I'm getting older, I'm building the cars that I want to keep forever. My '49 Olds 98 Holiday, I just (today) bought a '64 Ranchero and my still vague roadster project. I had to have gussets installed in my heart and I want to get these finished in case I croak. It'd be cool to leave the kids and grandbrats my toys as something more than unfinished projects that I use to hang out with my Viper brothers in the garage. Even though none of them have expressed an interest in a period perfect Valley Custom style taildragger.

    I'm 48 today.
If I knew I was going to live this long, I woulda took better care of myself. (yea, right)

I seem to have forgotten more then I ever thought I knew...

Won't let me vote either...maybe I already did and I forgot it already?

I like this board, you guy's are more tolerant of me then some other places I've been. I seldom get lost, people are always telling me where to go.

I must be really having fun, they say time goes by fast when your having fun, and it's really flying by. Who's "they" anyway? I think I'm going to go to bed now. Gene
