Going through older posts I am surprised how many guys get banned. What are they doing wrong to get banned? Is it permanent or does it get reviewed? Curiosity killed the cat.
They were a bunch of rebels... Talking about VW's and diesel engines! Seriously I have no idea other than that they didn't play nice.
Hi. Usually they continuisouly stray off topic. This site is for traditional hot rods & customs. Posting all the time about rat rods and non traditional cars, trucks & engines just does not sit well here. There are other forums online for those styles & here they really stay within the concept of "traditional". Jimmie
If you stay on topic you have noting to worry about. Fighting with moderators and the administration and they will show you the door. HRP
A couple of deleted posts or threads won't do it, either. You have to fail to get the message. I have probably had 10 deletions. I'm still here, and look at my post count.
It is really pretty simple: There are rules, read them. If you don't follow them or if you show the guy who owns this site that you have no respect for him or others, then he shows you that you are not welcome and eliminates you. Just like in life, follow the rules to live by and treat others with respect and you will be fine.
I know a couple of guys that got banned, they both atoned and sent Ryan a e-mail and admitted they screwed up and both are members again. HRP
Read and understand the rules. Bring something useful to the table. Complement work you like. Don't be a jerk. Keep your word.
Whew! I know I sometimes ask off topic tech questions for my own benefit but also hope they add to the general knowledge base. Truth is there is more experience here than anywhere else I'm familiar with.
If that were it a lot more would be gone. Sell much on here and you'll find plenty of guys whose word means nothing
Hahahaha... I had a buddy that got hammered and decided to make a post trashing model A's... He got banned...
