    Good Luck TBH:

Just remember, don't put any SCRATCHES on the side of a customers car. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] Ha Ha Ha.

Seriously though, I hope you do real well.

So your new job will depend on how well you can get those "dumbasses" to do their jobs. Think about that from your bosses point of view. THEN go to the interview. The skirt probably only matters if you make it matter.

  9. Situation questions...

    I know all about it...

A recruiting technique developed on the basis of behavioral event interviewing...

For example...how you have handled something in the past is an excellent predictor of how you will handle it in the future.

Based on competenties....like communication, technical, teamwork, etc..

I know the right way to answer them..i teach it to my students.

It is known as the STAR method...

GIve them a situation or target.

    Then your action

    Then the result..

And don't worry the result doesn't always need to be positive..but it does need to identify a process..

    Management is based on it..

    Anyway..it is alot of fun..

Tell me about a time when,...

    You need more..I got more..

All i gotta say is good luck TBH and if you get the job let me know. Then i'll come in with hair way up in a pompador so they can see what kind of people you hang around with maybe i could drag Titus with in his truck but it will have to be when it's nicer out. How would that look if i pull up in my wagon and titus in his truck and you turn to the fellow co workers and say. I've got this one..

Just remember to uphold the company's desired image...don't drive a customer home in the oldest car on the lot just because you know it to be safe, comfortable and trustworthy...the Big Boss will obviously be much happier if you call him enroute to tell him the prettied-up late model "cream puff" with the fresh $100 paint job just died and you and the customer are standing in the cold!

Image is everything! [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Congrats !!! in the 14+ years I've worked in Ford parts and service Lady service managers have always been the best as you spend more time listening to all sides before making decissions. Remember to alway watch what the techs are up too as they get more managers fired (by backstabbing usually) then anyone, but if they trust that you help look after their interests they well help protect you also!!
Our current manager is in the position because we ALL fought to get HER assigned as our manager becuase over the last 2 years she earned our respect, which is really hard to do in a shop full of 40+ old men, So you can do it !!! good luck. Ps watch out for the customers that are out to scam you, its very common these days and more so in your situation so you should make sure you understand how the corp. office whats those issues handled so you can be ready ahead of time.

  25. Holy Shit! You got it! I knew once they'd listened to you, you'd get it.
Personally, I'd have worn that little pink bikini you have. You look great in it and it would have matched the Magenta in your hair...but, I'm glad you didn't have to resort to tricks. You obviously got the job on your merits.
Hope to see you someplace this year and CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!

I wanted to get out of the wrenching end of the business and interviewed with a woman service manager. She flat out told me she didn't like to hire technicians for service managers because they knew too much and tended to diagnos problems at the front counter. Popped my bubble, I thought it would be an advantage.
If you don't want treated different for being female then quite thinking you are different. That notion carries a stigma with it that is hard to hide.
