Projects How to change key an tumbler on 1950 De Soto

    If I remember correctly you turn the tumbler to the accessory position and put a paperclip in this hole - but it's not working - the oe key was broken off and the workshop manual is gone.
    Thoughts ?

    You have to have a working key turned to the on position, and then depress the retaing pin. If no key available you should take it to a good locksmith, have it picked or a key impressioned to it. Those old chrysler product locks are die cast and some times a little hard to work with. Try to find a locksmith that has experiance. (I am a locksmith with 50yrs experiance). Good luck.
