Heres a couple "how I did mine". Your filled roof will dictate leaning your windshield post back to meet the lowered roof. If your roof was open you could do it the way I did. Rear and center drop into place and you need to put a small piece in the roof and door top. When you drop the top it needs to be longer to match up with body.Goes pretty well and nothing really tricky stretching the top. I did not cut my wood above the doors. Plan to relocate the front holes and use that long wood header as is. I chopped mine 4 inches. The more the chop the more the top needs to be lenghtened to get the look right.

Many ways to do a chop.......this method worked well for me.

How did you address the drip rail when lengthening the top? Did you splice in a length of original drip rail, or fab up a new piece? Thanks.

I had a roof piece and a door top to take pieces from. The drip rail is a little fussin around because its so thin. The rood and drip rail could be made quite easily. The door piece would be a little more difficult but could be done. Steve

The door piece can be made from the piece you remove from the back of the door when you chop it. The profile is the same.

4 inch chop and 6 inch section. High point of roof is around 54 inches with body on top of a 32 frame at typical hot rod height. If I were to do it again I would go 5 and 5 With the 6 inch section the roof does not look chopped enough.

I maybe have a roof part around here yet. I will look see tomorrow. Steve
