Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by oldfart, Nov 22, 2014.

  1. My 30 has fibergl*** fenders and running boards w/flat black paint on them. They have spots on them especially under the transmission dipstick. How do I clean the "spots" w/out ruining the paint &/or fibergl***?

Spots of what? What type of paint? Paint with hardener additive? How old is the finish? Is it flat or semi gloss?

I'm sure you don't want to here it but it ain't gonna clean up,flat black paint, like primer normally is not considered a sealer so the oil & bugs and road grime penetrates the surface.

I love primer hence my user name and have used many different types of primers over the years, oil based, lacquer and epoxy primers and none ever cleaned up well.

I have switched to Semi Gloss Kirker hot rod black and it is a sealer,,spray windex on and wipe off,no problem. HRP
