I thought I noticed that on some old roadsters... But I thought I was seeing things...

Is this what you're talking about?

    The Nitti roadster has it...

    The McGee roadster doesn.t.

I've only ever seen one kind of '32 quarter panel, that may be correct about the two kinds, but I think those McGee/Nitti photos are just different angles and lighting and color, so it doesn't tell me much. Seems like I would have noticed that or heard about if it was true... I sure look at '32 roadsters enough!

    It's a subtle difference...

Look at the Nitti roadster again... It isn't the light/angle but this isn't the best picture for it either... If you look close you can see that the area of the quarter directly over the tire looks a little more concave than on the McGee which looks flat.

At least I think that's what's being talked about.

I used those two because they were both old original bodied cars, and the best pictures I could find in a hurry.

  6. Still confused by this term - is it like the '33/'34 Ford coupe/roadster ass end?

  7. The 32 Edsel Ford is being restored now at Barillaro's Speed Emporium in Knoxville, TN. Maybe I can get Mike and Jim to post some pictures.

Some of you guys are so funny, I really crack up. Kilroy is the closest, as the quarter panel is slightly concaved and the other quarter is exactly the same. This hamb is so neat, thanks again, and here is another pic. I had to repeat the second pic, couldn't get the third pic to load.

I'm no 1932 Ford expert but aren't these '32 3Window wheel arches installed in '32 Roadster quarters? [IMG]

I can't answer your question, but the lighter area is the recessed in area and the dark part of the quarter panel is in line with the rest of the car. Thanks
