Technical How to get 61 Pontiac horn rim off?

So I want to remove this steering wheel and I'm not sure how the horn rim comes off. Thanks in advance.

 

Did you try pushing it down & turning it counter clockwise?

 

No, but I will. It's a little fragile so I wanted to check the best way before proceeding.

 

Turn the clear plastic center piece counterclockwise about a quarter turn and it comes off. Then you have access to the nut underneath.
