i work for one of those "cash for junk cars" guys. We almost never get old cars cause the yards dont wanna pay us for em. The real money is in new cars.

    Otto,
loved your article on the all terrain cherry picker. I thought the 331 cad with the 3 97's sounded familiar.

  5. Someone said the east coast is picked clean.. ********, the stuff I've seen hit just one yard in the last 8 months would make anyone cry. I mean, one of them was a ****ing '56 Packard WITH the taillights on it, the first one I've seen in a yard with the lights on it pretty much ever (going back some 15 years and a couple dozen yards). I got right up there when they opened to nab those.

My neighbor has a junkyard and used to crush everything. I've convinced him to set aside the old stuff that comes in. His stipulation was that I had to help him sell the parts from the old cars because he didn't have the time. Works out for both of us. He has saved about 100 cars so far. Lots of unusual stuff coming in since s**** prices went up. I will post pics if I get over there this weekend.

If it wasn't for the ****ing "tree huggers" their would be plenty of old iron laying around for years to come. Also thank your local politicians for the regulations because the ****head that lives down the street in the gated community drives by your place where you have been for 3 generations...... don't get me started!
