Read several threads, but still not sure the best way to run a PCV on a 66 292 with aftermarket valve cover. I like the look of the 2 90 degree side breathers on the straight 6, but not sure how to run PCV with this, or even if it's effective for it's designed purpose. Better to put a breather towards front end of valve cover, and tap a port on the backside next to firewall for a PCV valve? I have a Clifford 4bbl intake - which has no ports drilled for intake heat - but has the angled bottom piece below carb and 2 bosses molded into the outside like they could be drilled for a port. Photos of setups would be great! I wanna order the valve cover soon, but don't want to get holes drilled in the wrong places.
try to have the breather at one end of the motor and the pcv at the back to get a good crossflow thru the motor , I would say your better putting it in the rear of the valve cover not the lifter ports as there is more oil in that area that it will be prone to pick up plus the vapor nastys ussually condenses in the rocker boxes as for a tap in point you should use the tap on the bottom of the carb and then tap a port in the manifold for the power brakes if you have them this way the whole engine will see the vapor not 2-3 cylinders ( unbalances fuel mixture ), power brakes just need a vacuum source
