Found these on ebay and are dirt cheap and in perfect working order. On my 62 comet if i wanted to bag the back. What would i have to do? Would i mount these between the leaf springs and axle or get rid of the springs all together?? Never played with airbgas or anything, so dont know anything about them. Thanks Nate
Those look like factory lincoln parts, and prone to leaking. You're better off starting with new bags.
Those are lincoln bags. But say if i was to start off with something like this. What would i do. Would i have to go to a 4 link setup or could i keep the leaf springs in their? thanks Nate
Nate- The easiest way is to keep the leaf springs, take out a couple of leaves from each spring pack, then mount the bags between the springs and the frame...If it doesn't settle low enough with the leaf removal, you can stick a 2 or 3 inch lowering block in there...I agree though, cheap means nothing if it's nothing but trouble!!!
Depends what you are a willin' to do. I would just fab some brackets and use a basic bag from Air Ride or Air Lift. Not sure on the room under there... This is the easiest way to bag something. If you need to go really, really low... a triangluar or 4 link with C notches would be in order.... with lots more fabrication.
Air ov leaf man. Works and its lots cheaper. Bad part is that you don't get low enough. If your not married with kids and other bills I'd four or two link it. If your going to keep your leafs you go down to just two. The two longest of course. And put your bag in front of your rearend so you get more travel. If that is possible. Heres a little info on the kit I have in my delivery... Air over leaf
Ok ill have to pm them. I like what 1 low showed me. But im thinking next winter when i do it all because i hope to have my new shop built is take all the old supsension out 4 link the back and change it all to 5 lug with bags in all 4 corners. Thanks Nate
