May sound strange being I've been on the H.A.M.B. over 10 years now, but I have never used or joined any of the Social Groups. I'll also add I'm not overly good at computer stuff. So today I wanted to research some aftermarket parts specific to 53-56 F-100 trucks. I used the search feature on top of the main page but didn't come up with what I wanted. I went to the F-100 Social group just to learn that you can't get in if you don't belong. At least it looks that way. Is that how it works? If so what does it take to "be in" the Social group? Most sites want you to be a member . I have not had any problem registering with several of them , and the info you get is great. Some send you bs messages ,some don't. My advice is get another email address ,use this one for things such as this, that way it doesn't plug up your normal email with spam. Some sites are very friendly ,some treat you like a leper. Its free just ignore the ones that don't help you any.
when you view the forum page, theres a drop down menu on your right says "Social Forum tools" click on that, there will be two options, one says "join forum".
Joecool, he is talking about the social groups section on this site. Yea, you can pretty much just join, not much to it.
Hay thanks Guys. cretin is correct. I wanted to use the Social groups here on the H.A.M.B. I wanted to just search and find instead of waiting for answers that most likley already here,,,, somewhere. More like a review of installed hood mount kit. I'm not at all a, "buy a Kit" kind of guy but some times it is a better use of time and $$$. Specially when it's some one else's $$$. I'll just go ahead and post on the main page. The Wizzard
the social groups I was on don't seem to move much if at all. I don't even know where they are now since the site has changed
Click on the far left tab at the top (the one that looks like a family tree) and in the drop down is watched social forums.
