Technical How to remote door locks

I am building an Aluminum hard top for my 48 Willys CJ-2A the top will have Suicide Doors. I want to be able to put some sort of remote solenoid type Door locking setup. But everything I seam to find is designed to work with some sort of existing door latch. I will be using a flush Pickup Tool box style latch with a Key lock. But I want more.

Anyone know of a setup that just has something like a 1" throw bolt? I guess I could come up with something that worked on a cable pull like some of the kits have. But I wanted it simple. Would also like to be able to have a pair of Solenoids to latch the rear hatch.

im thinking of doing the similar .i was advised to buy a car alarm you will get nearly everything you need in one go and work it from there.fit a door light switch and wire it so it cant lock with the door open.i need more security for my old yoke.
