Technical How to remove hood pin holes in hood?

I one seen a guy, solder them up with lead/tin mix solder. I think they were 1/8 holes. They use to sell lead plugs, in which you would drill out the hole to the correct size, based on your plug, clean the area, place the plug in the hole, and melt it down with a torch, then smooth it down with a metal file.
