Technical How to reverse a Model A Rear Spring

    I reshaped mine similar to a T spring to get lower and ended up rolling the eyes a bit to get the shackle angle right. From memory about 3/8" each side.
     
  5. The T spring is about 3" longer than the A or at least in my experience. In order to make my T main leaf the same length as an A I had the stock spring eyes trimmed off and re-rolled backwards or reverse. With the T spring not trimmed the shackles hung down straight from the perches where once it was re-worked the shackles sit at a nice 45 dry angle as they should.
