I use to two methods. First is the easiest. Let my blue healer into the area were the mice are. She will find and kill them, my cow dog seemed to come with the optional hound dog nose lol. Id bring her over to ya if you were close enough. Also REALLY good at getting rid of rock chucks. Anyways since you can do that.... Hot glue a piece of dog food to a good spring trap. Ive had plenty of mice clean peanut butter off traps before I started doing this. The dog food is hard, and the hot glue holds it solid so they have to bite it pretty hard (not lick like the peanut butter) and it will easily set off the trap. Works every time! I use decon as a last resort because you always end up with a smell.

Yeah, a good cat would work. lock em in the garage with the car and you'll be set.

Some of this stuff is halarious... No one has mentioned what I call a "tin cat", also called live traps...little metal box with one-way entrances and a clear plexi lid so you can see what ya got. I once had mom, dad and 3 kids in one trap! You can't do that with snaps....
Mice/rats love dried fruit and mixed nuts and it does not require much of either one cause the little bastards have good noses. When you catch one put the trap in a 5-gal bucket with a little bleach and a drop of soap and fill it with hot water. After 5 minutes you have dead mice and a clean trap.

They just carry off poison and stash it for later. You think they're eating it but they're not. And bleach + mothballs = holes in your lungs.

  11. Ive drug many cars home very long distances and the rats stayed for the whole trip. I keep D Con out. I use the old steel jaw traps. Boil them to remove all sent handle them with gloves smear the pan with reanut butter and rework the latch to be a hair trigger. I keep poultry and have to constantly trap rats, coons, possum, skunks ect. Old Wolf

Laughed good at this one ...my buddy got all the baby possums out the same way. Scattered them all over the highway people were honking and pointing but he said he didn't dare stop one of them could have been a P.E.T.A member.:D

  17. Up here in The Great White North we use Ball Bearing Mouse Traps.

  18. They can be, just only feed the cat dog food. It forces them to hunt. always worked good for barn cats.

What's a "Ball Bearing Mouse Trap"? Sling shot and a ball bearing?

Actually the original song title was In the Garden of Eden. Stupified by alcohol and drugs in one recording the lead singer sang "In a Gadda De Vida" , and it stuck.

Depending on the CD, the liner notes explain it two different ways. Regardless, Heavy was a better album. :p
