I'm trying to widen the rear fenders on my 47 Chevy Business Coupe 2" for some wider tires. anybody know the right way to do this? They make fibergl*** fenders for about $500 but I just think that would be the weenie way out...
Just cut em near the edge where they meet the body and widen them whatever width you need. Just dont go too wide, cause the front bottom of the fender will stick out and look odd. Fido
I have a DVD available showing several ways to widen fenders, including stretching the original sheet metal, and roll forming new metal and stretching in place.
