The bracket that you need measurements for is just a piece of 3" square tubing 14 inches tall overall. It sits 8 1/2" above the s10 frame rail. The brackets allow me to use the stock chevy bed crossmembers along with the stock bolt locations in the bed wood. Here is a pic of the brackets welded to the s10 frame.

does anybody knows what type of mounting brackets i can use to use my v8 in the chevrolet s10....

 

Yes and no. Yes, the section of 3" tubing is 14" overall, and yes, the distance above the frame rail is 8 1/2", but that is to the top if the tubing capped off with a 3 x 3 piece of 3/16 steel plate. The stock AD bed crossmember rests on the top of the tubing. The 8 1/2" measurement is not from the frame to the bottom of the bed, but to the bottom of the bed crossmember.

 

Damm.. i wish it was easy i have to read it and read it back...

but to be honest too dificult to understand that you have a 3x3 3/16 on tope of the tube i still understand...

so to be basic is correct please tell me if im wrong look at my drawing below..

http://www.v8s10.org/ is the place to go to learn about how to do the V8 swap on an S-10. There are links to places there that sell the kits and supplies - one quick look at them and you'll know what you need.

It usually involves specialized headers for the pre-94 S-10 to clear the steering (the later S-10s do not have this problem) and mounts. Basically, if you have a 90-degree V6 in your S-10, a V8 will use the same motor mounts and bolt up to the same transmission (as the 90-degree V6 is identical to a Chevy V8, with two cylinders missing). If you have a 4-cylinder or 60-degree V6, you need a set of mounts.

The mounts aren't very much money, and shipping isn't going to set you back too much, but I'm not sure how much Customs will be.

Waste a few hours on http://www.v8s10.org/ when you get a chance. After about 20 minutes you'll be nodding your head affirmatively. Get exciter - it's easier than you think, and can be made to be a bolt-in procedure!

Now, as for the radiator and accessories, you'll have to check http://www.v8s10.org/ - there are several ways to mount these, and although similar, they all differ with the person installing them. You'll just have to look at the various means and decide which method is right for you!
