    Hire a small game hunter?

  3. A mouse cannot resist a pan of beer. He will sniff it out, crawl in and get drunk. His wife will come and drag him home by the ear. After a few times, she gets fed up, and moves out taking the kids. He comes back, gets really drunk and drowns in the beer with the rest of his no good friends.

  4. Do you know what lutefisk is? It's cod that's been hung to air-dry after having been soaked in a caustic lye solution. The Scandinavians then reconstitute the smelly stuff by soaking it in successive water baths until the lye is gone and the pungent cod goodness remains. Get some of this reconstituted lutefisk and put it in a glass pan, and bake it for an hour at 350. Put the pan in your car and the mice will leave. Works on skunks in crawl spaces, too.

The only problem is getting all those damned Norwegians out of your crawl space.

  5. Set some traps so you actually catch them. If you use those pellets they eat, they look for water but might die off in the car. Mothballs will definitely keep them away once you get them to begin with. When ready to get in car with mothballs, air out first-MOTH BALLS ARE ALSO TOXIC TO HUMANS.

My youngest brother has had a few pet snakes, and it seems he never left home without his 6-7 foot python. Till one day when it decided to crawl under the dash of his pickup and wrap itself around heater ductwork behind the glove box. of course it also took time for a nature call and warm decomposed (rabbit) shit is not exactly spring fresh. Remember that Seinfeld episode with the car stench? Almost that bad. He figured it would come out once it got thirsty/hungry but a week later it was still happily nested. We ended up removing half his dash and wrestling with it for what seemed forever to untangle the beast. He got the pleasure of cleaning the truck and once the smell was bearable we put it all back together. Never let a snake loose in a car you will probably get more than you bargained for.

Put some mothballs in a zip lock bag and put them in the trunk, front floor, and rear floor. They hate the smell and will stay away. You just have to be careful where they go.

How about you get a humane mouse trap. No need to kill the thing just cause it's in your way.

You wanna kill something go into a Bronx Housing Project. But be careful, they can actually fight back.

grew up on a farm and have bought lots of old cars...so I am experienced. First, get rid of them. Poison means you might have to deal with rotting carcasses...not good! I put dryer sheets in my cars every winter. Knock wood, no mice. I have bought cars with Irish Spring soap, so that must work, too. Pull the interior, for sure. Maybe you can save it. It will be a gross project. Just do it. I use an ozone maker after that. Leave it on for all night. Stuff will knock you out, so make sure you air out the car first. It will kill or drive out any remaining rodents and bugs, seems to lessen the stench and kind of sterilizes every thing. Then I fog the hell out of the car and soak the upholstery with a commercial product to overcome bad odors. get it from a carpet store. Lastly, I put a bunch of intense air fresheners in the car and the trunk. Seems to do the trick. In summary, get the mice out first and get their remains, poop, piss and nests out next. Then work on the stench. Not fun. And the point is correct about buying the car. Unless you love it, if it is mousy, either buy it cheap or pass.
