I joined recently and just found out that it is traditional to introduce oneself. I have been reading project threads here for almost a year and didn't really expect to join if I'm honest. I have already been pretty involved with car stuff online as I am a big fan of forums, but got tired of some of the ridiculousness elsewhere. It was cool to check out new ideas, and frankly a different type of automotive projects. I grew up later than the target area for HAMB vehicles and never had much of an affinity for pre-war cars and only a mild appreciation for the early sixties. But there are cool projects and good folks on here and I got drawn in and decided to join. That said, I don't have an on-topic vehicle at this point, but actually plan on assembling one over time by acquiring parts and pieces at swap meets, etc. I am a big fan of sharing knowledge and experience and enjoying the build process any way possible. Build threads and posting here is a great way to do that. Thanks to all of those whose projects I have seen so far and I look forward to seeing many more.
....Welcome. No worries that you don't yet own an on-topic car. Once you've dipped your toes in the water of the hot-rodding world you're hooked. Now it's up to us to slowly reel you in. Enjoy your HAMBtime....Don.
Thanks Phil, Don, and Dale. I am still running around on here going from build to build. Hoping to see some of the local vehicles and meet their owners before we get into winter weather up here. I hope you guys are having a great summer and enjoying the hobby and your cars.
