Hello, I'm Jacob Martin, I'm one of the younger members of this site at 25. I've been lurking around here for about 8 years however. I work doing engine builds and mechanical work on cl***ic car restorations. I've been around this stuff practically my whole life, for example when I was 5, my dad had me putting spark plugs in his Pontiac 389 while it was on the stand. I've spent a large amount of time around my grandpa and his friends as well, collecting as much of that good old timer knowledge as possible. Now days, I'm mainly building engines, doing brakes, ch***is work, and wiring on cars for other folks. I dont own any vehicles worthy of this site just yet, but someday I will. As of now my newest one is a 1987 s10 Blazer. I've also got a 1980 C10, a 1982 VW rabbit diesel, and a 1976 AMC Matador sedan. I'm a bit of a malaise junk collector haha! All that aside, enjoy this 327 300hp I just put together for a 1962 corvette. Sent from my Nokia 6.1 using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Hi & welcome. Nice that you so work on the older engines. Many here do their own but many need good mechanics. What part of the country are you located? Jimmie
Thanks Jimmie, I'm in northwest Indiana, about a half hour south of lake Michigan. It's a nice area and there's a pretty good hotrod community here in the summer, weekly cruise-ins and all. Sent from my Nokia 6.1 using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Welcome sir! We all gotta start somewhere. Sounds like you have a really awesome Family bringing you up right. Please keep up the interest, and post your projects. Even if it's a customer car, I would love to see it. Your AMC is a cool car! Even though that car is OT, I still dig it. Sent from my Moto Z (2) using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Always nice to see more people enjoying this site and all it has to offer. Plenty of nice people who all love cars! Jimbo
