Hi, thought i better pop in a sentance or two about myself, a mate of mine told me about this forum so here i am. my name is fat 35 I have a 35 olds coupe (sloper) these were only made in Australia, and were the 1st of the sloper craze, they only made 294 of them so body panels are non existant, its nearly on the road 2-3 weeks away from its date with the engineers to get its compliance for road use, its pretty basic unit but thats the way i like it very little chrome and billet . Its first day out was last weeks vic rod show, i drove it in and drove it out so its not going to be a trailer queen. it runs a small block GM 308 tunnell ram twin holley 390's bit of a lumpy stick with roller rockers, trimatic auto with shift kit and a 9"rear, front end is a torana (local built GM from the 70's) its been made in my garage on a strict budget, but with lots of old skool body mods, i channelled it 1" frenched in tail lights recessed rear plate slipped a studebaker gt hawk dash (why? cos i had one laying around) i had a 35 caddy la salle rear window lying around so i grafted that in as well, it looks chopped from the rear and it also gives the caddy boys the horrors that we cut up a 35 lasalle(my mate wanted the front, and i wanted the rear window so.... out came the 1mm wheel on the grinder and...the rest is history and so was the caddy. We sit on a pair of camaro buckets that was given to me and a hyundai and mitsubishi rear. Well thats me and my beast, when i work out how to post pics i will have a go. Cheers fat 35
Welcome, definately need to see pic,s of the sloper. Maybe a pic of the car before you started work on it. Where did you find it ?
Tony, a lot of them seem to come from south of the border. Do you think that they dont put thier town just to piss us sensible northerners off? Imagine a yank putting his location as "America" lol
