I think I forgot to add my introduction before I started posting... it's a ***** gettin old. I've always liked hotrods and old cars. My first car was a 4door 51' Plymouth "way" back in high school. Then I went through some 60's muscle cars, old trucks, etc. through the years. I'm currently bringing a 50' Shoebox Tudor sedan back to life. It's been sitting in a warehouse in Dallas since the mid-70's (found it on CraigsList). I found Kenny Baker on H.A.M.B. ("Chopper RodShop" Aliance Member) and he performed the chop for me... turned out great! I been gathering up parts and planning out my strategy for this Shoebox re-make for several months. I'm now ready to let the madness begin... except for the fact that it's been around 100 degrees in my garage! My plan is to use a nice SBC 383 and 700R that I have and make the Shoebox a reliable daily driver. And then on the weekends race some at the local muscle car drags.... nothin too crazy just some lower cl*** bracket-racing, and hang out with some of my buddies. I still can't figure out if I'm building a "hotrod" or a "streetrod"? I want it to look like an old hotrod, but since it will have a more modern drivetrain, suspension, etc. maybe it's really a streetrod. Who cares? I't will be mine and it WILL BE FUN!
