Y'all remember the #5 issue of ck DeLuxe? You know, the one with the H.A.M.B. chop article where a bunch of the fellas showed up at killer's house to chop rodncustom's '49 Olds 4 door. That's how I found out about the H.A.M.B. in the first place and that's why I'm now a member. Well, the old girl is sitting in my driveway now, where last week she fired for the first time in a couple of years, and is now awaiting just a few more details before she can terrorize the streets of CA's central coast with yours truly at the helm. My '53 Chevy Bel Air was getting way too close to being done, so I needed something else to bust my knuckles on. I'm here to pick up a few hints on the rest of the build and lend a helping hand when I can. And, of course, I'll keep y'all updated on the '49's progress and put up some pictures when I figure out how. If any of the original builders of this car are still out there, I'd sure like to hear from you. 'Til next time....
Hey hey, whatcha got ta say? I'm just another car nut from Morro Bay! Sorry, just had to rhyme it Hows it goin? Are you the guy with the blue/white flamed 53 I see around town? If so, let me say, NICE! I live at 447 Dunes, between Napa and Monterey, if your ever out cruisin around in it, give me a call or stop by. It would be great to meet ya. 234-6756 Eric
Holy smokes. That's me indeed. I hardly expected this reply! I'm often out cruisin' around in it, as she's my daily driver, or only car, depending on how you look at it, so if you see me, stop me. I'm off work on Thursday the 2nd, so I'll give you a call or you can roll up Island St. and find me hackin' away on my '49 Olds. Name's Joe. See ya 'round.
Cool Joe, I'll probably swing by later on today, since I've gotta run a few errands that my woman wasn't able to get to yesterday. Which is a good thing, since I need to get out of the house. I've been going kinda stir crazy lately, being cooped up inside for so long. I'll be in my white Tacoma with the rusty (DAMN SEA AIR) toolbox on the bed. So, if you see me drive up, DON'T SHOOT!!! See ya, Eric
All my digital files are too large to post. As soon as the fog lifts, and it should be any week now, I'll get some decent pics.
