Nice profile on the roof! Really like the reveal of the door frame/sail panel also... <TABLE cellPadding=6 width=600><TBODY><TR><TD align=middle></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
Ditto.....looks really neat, and should work great, practically, and visually. and not that it matters, the sewer pickle still is my benchmark as the best 4 door ever... Cheers, Drewfus
Not saying "BEST",but I like the look. Of course, that was before seeing the quarter window treatmant on that one! Don't use the word "BEST" very often...cause something else great always comes along.
Thats very nice. I just thought the one I found was extra special because of all the extra work to acheive the length and shape of the window frames.
Hello, Thanks for comments. At first i want excuse me for my bad english. My name is Jackson and I live in Brazil. Here in Brazil is very difficult to find 49-51 mercurys and this very expensive build American cars especially when you need to import parts from US because the parts come to cost 3 times more. I don´t have benchmark for mercurys customs in Brazil, only in magazines like Car Kulture Deluxe, Kustoms Illutrated and internet. So it is very difficult to build a merc custom here. My idea in the chop was to leave the roof and the rear door window resemble the quarter window Coupe, the color will be black, white walls, Sombrero hubcaps, fenders skirts and the 302 ford engine. Thanks a lot
What a great example & it is kool that they didn't get carried away and over chop it. Kan't wait to see the more updates. One of the best 4dr Merc in this area. Bill and Deanna Baker's from Lamar, Mo.
I think your idea to shape the rear of the roof and the quarter window like you did is fantastic! Absolutely the best 4 door chop I've ever seen. Hands down. Good job man!
that is great work!!! and lots of it to get those rear doors like that.. the huff merc is awesome ive never seen before..
Or pick up a copy of last month's Rod & Custom, and see how an 83-year old guy has been doing it for many, many years.
