Hey there ... I'm new-comer on the HAMB from the Jockey Journal. Right now I don't have anything to hot rod since I can barely afford my motorcycle project, so I'm mostly here to learn some stuff and throw some of what I know into the mix. I like pretty much any old vehicle, but I love American stuff the most. Newer cars? Hate em for the most part. I wish gas prices didn't suck so much so I could enjoy real vehicles ... but I'm not gonna whine about it.

Lately I've been digging Corvairs a lot, specifically the 1964 models. I just love the body lines and would hope to get my hands on one after my bike is done. I'm still trying to figure out some power options for them (without throwing a V8 in it) that won't kill the car. Sure, it won't be a monster running on an air-cooled flat 6, but there could be enough options out there to make a really sweet ride.

Other than that, I'm big into trucks. I would kill to have an old F100 or a C10 as a daily driver, but I live in New York. I also have a lot of interest in cheaper fuels, so I will probably be talking about diesel and vegetable oil a lot. It may not look or sound cool, but I like torque and being able to drive practically for free.

Welcome from Yucaipa, Ca. Always had a soft spot for the corvair cab over trucks. Had a friend in high school who drove a 64 turbo Spider, would eat Cameros and this car looked really bad, paper bag over head bad. Was reliable and got good mileage best I remember.
