Gotta hand it to the editors at Hot Rod, they are doing a great job of digging through the archives and putting some great images into print. I have to buy two of these things, one to keep nice, and one to rifle through over and over again until the pages are destroyed. I can pour over the pictures a few hundred times to soak in all the details. I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that over the years, Hot Rod brought the pictures and articles that put ideas in all our heads and what defined cool or NOT-cool to us. Dry lakes, drag racing, show cars, resto rods, VANS. They've covered it all. Hats off to Freiburger and his crew for jumping through hoops to get this stuff in our hands. Good to know I make sense to the guy that put a hydraulic clutch in his period-correct flathead-green SBC powered Deuce. Really, I hope someone out there appreciates those mags too...
