Will aftermarket or stock typical mounting, full hubcaps fit on chevy rally wheels? I hate the look of rallys and want to use a more period correct or period custom hub cap, but don't want to buy them to find out rallys won't accept full caps. Thanks for the help!
To the best of my knowledge they will, since the trim ring is like a a full wheel cover without the center section. KK
68-72 corvettes could be had with factory full wheel covers, they simply mounted on the stock rallye wheels instead of the trim rings and center caps.
Perfect thanks y'all. Thinking I will go for something like these stockers http://www.ebay.com/itm/56-Oldsmobi...224188d&pid=100005&rk=2&rkt=2&sd=221757077064 or maybe aftermarket 'starburst' caps
The ones you have to watch for are the caps that didn't mount with a "sawtooth" lip, some full caps snapped onto nubs on the rim, or in the center. Lots of early Cadillac and Pontiac caps don't have a sawtooth on the outer edge and have to be modified to snap on, and others like the 55-57 Chevy full caps just have a lip that needs nubs on the wheel to snap on. You'll have many options that will work, just make sure the caps you buy have the sawtooth style mounting on the outer edge, or if they don't, be prepared to modify them.
