If I get around to painting it after I finish my PU... I want it to be a dark blue'ish grey with small hints of green. Something 40s like the way an old WWII grey Lathe stains up around the gearbox from oil leaks you know?

Somebody slap me please. Why did I take my hood tops to be sand blasted? I should of left it alone. I wish I could trade my hood sides for some with the original ****py finish left on them. Mine had been sanded down when I got'm.

Moose and madfish both do some amazing work for HAMB'rs, don't they. Both are very talented and enjoy doing it to help see what our ideas can look like when done.

What do you all think about ditching the top door hinge during the chop? Mistake or ok?

Every so often when I p*** the car going to the mail or taking out the garbage I slap a little wax on it.

I only want to hand rub it to keep a certain level of sheen. @gwhite is a bad influence.

Sparks flew today for the first time on Hubba Hubba. Who knew the last time a wrench was turned on this thing. I removed the dash. In order to pay for the two engines and trans I'm after, everything must go sale.

I hope to whack the cowl off there in a couple days.
I cut the steering wheel off as the steering shaft is shot. So is the column drop and gauges. But the horn ****on still worked and the oil tube deal is in perfect shape, came apart real easy. I need these pieces for my PU so I was happy about that.

I think it will be fun, but way easier than your "EVIL looking" build.

You know it's kinda sad not having any history on either one of my builds. Is this more often the case?

I don't know if I'm more excited about this NOS tail light(it's not "Duo") or the box. It should go well with the one plain jane blk 36 I already had. Original store price... $1.89
    ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1439692335.191981.jpg
I also got a set of interior handles. They're dingy and original the way I like'm but better than my pitted ones. I'll take a sock and some Mothers to them and replace three knobs.
Mohair it is! I'd like it to be something like mushroom or sage not straight up tan/camel/ or beige. The front seat frames I still want in olive I think.

Well I locked down the purchase of two "59" engines and side loader trans today. Pick'm up in a few weeks.

Before you get excited... I'm trading the intake to @Ford Mike for an old Edmunds to go with my heads and fuel block.

So you traded a tall pm7 for a low edmunds but want to put spacers on it to make it a fake tall?

Yep, probably sounds stupid on the surface but I do weird stuff sometimes. It won't be as tall.

and it fits(for all those who think the 34 is sooooo different), still need a sedan/truck lower portion. My eyes are sore from looking for parts.
Oh scratch that, you have to remove the regulator and it mounting flange.

So, you must be more interested in the aesthetics than the performance of it?

Yep! If you want to see me ruffle feathers I will state that slow is slow( I doubt this thing will make a third of my pickups power) and I think a flathead is cool as **** but we're living in the days of 1000hp street cars. I might as well like looking at it.
I don't want to "ruffle feathers" it just seems to happen some when I speak my mind and I don't like liars so I won't be one. I also don't mean anything against someone's choice to run a Flatty they're the coolest. It is however a little depressing knowing what effort and money/time I'll put into this thing just to have my wife walk away in her little Scion turd.

I guess body will look like a sedan based on a '32 three window. Not so hard to imagine that Ford could have very easily built something that looked just like that. Look forward to seeing how it turns out.

I have a 32 front crossmember comin from another HAMB member. Love them cl***ifieds. I've checked several times in the garage, attic, shed, and even crawl space! Damn it no original 32 frame rails stashed away here. I don't even need frame horns, what's a fella to do?

Must have a respectable steering and column combo to be a decent member of a civilized hot rod society.

Yes I get revved up over every bit and piece. As I always say "life is in the details" and that goes for hot rods too.
