Or the guy who stopped and took the cap was probably in a hurry, (Wife pregnant ect..) He probably got your tag number when he drove by and will have his uncle who is a police chief in whatever place he lives run it and get your address and send it to you postpaid.:D

I just don't get why anyone would bother with an Olds cap. Caddies are the only ones worth jail time hahahahaha

I once had a cop stop and help me remove the rear axle I had lost from the middle of the road... and then give me a ride home! (Car wasn't going anywhere...)

  4. Looks to me like he was having a good day, he got a free hubcap. :D

There is no accounting for what people are going to do.

that's not swiping a hubcap. I sold some car parts to an older guy who brought his grandsons with him to pick it up. I just didn't like the way the one kid was looking around the shop. he didn't seem to be admiring my junk collection.. just got a weird vibe.

the next day the Cadillac hubcaps were missing from my 65 Lincoln I had parked out front. that's stealing hubcaps..

Last 4th of July weekend I was going to buy my 29 chevy with my friends truck and trailer, when a shoebox in front of me lost a hubcap it rolled down the road and under the trailer wheels. He saw it come off and pulled over. I made it about a mile when I saw the trailer tire was going flat. I pulled over to check the trailer tire and the *** in the shoebox drove by and gave me the finger for hitting his cap:eek:. Cost me 80.00 for a new tire.

When you knowingly drop your keys, wallet, phone, change, etc do you leave it on the sidewalk and 'come back for it later'? No. You stop and pick up your property.

An offensive Olds hubcap that you didn't really want.
Came off and you didn't bother to stop and get it.
Another guy saved you a littering fine by picking it up.
He didn't notice that you stopped a mile and an eighth farther up the road so he kept going looking for you so he could return the dented hubcap that grandma liked.
What's the big deal ?

I actually had a "s****per" stop by as I was setting my 352 on the ground, fresh out from under the hood, and ask if he could have it for s****. Uh, no, I said... I then proceeded to ask him if he had lost his ****in' mind, and to get the hell out of my driveway. It's amazing what some people will pick up for "s**** weight" without considering its real value.

I used to think that. After you get a little older you'll realize it's just like cops, only a few are *** holes. ;)
