I have been doing some research on this vehicle. It was not a production model. This is where the 308 Hornet engine was put into the Jet. Jack Clifford and others put some of these together. There is one in Don Garlits museum. I am in search of any info. concerning these cars. Any info on how they went about building these cars would be appreciated. Pics would be a great help-Under the hood pics. Any info or stories or pics would be great. Have already been over on the Hudson forum and technical info and pics are not available. Thanks in advance Hud I
A gentleman named Jim Guinn in Nocona, Texas has a Jet with a 308 in it. It was drag raced for several years in the early '60s. It's a blue two-door. I do not have any pics of it, though, but I laid eyeballs on it in 2001. He still has the car. Also, you may want to check out Don Garlits' webpage for his drag racing museum. He has a 308 Jet on display that is ready-to-race, and it has a pretty storied history behind it. http://www.remarkablecars.com/for-sale/showfull.php?product=23882&bigimage=hudson-1954-280881.JPG http://www.remarkablecars.com/for-sale/showfull.php?product=23882&bigimage=hudson-1954-280891.JPG
