This car has a great look. I have toyed with the idea of the '54 one-piece windshield for mine, just finding one is the problem. Keep up the great work.

Hey Dave I saw your Hudson in a magazine called "World of Rods". It's a little picture from the CHRR. Pretty kool though to see a friends ride get some ink. Hell I almost bought the issue for ya.

This is a post from the DEAD. James you shoulda bought that issue for me! I really havent done much to the car. Work is getting in the way. And another top secret project:rolleyes: I did make a grill for it last fall then took it to Bailons car show here in Auburn they dug the grill-I actually got the "best grill award" who knew such a thing existed?

I just picked up the rear bumper today from having the chrome stripped I'm going to 1 piece it, move it back and french a lip on it like the grill. Not sure if I'm going to have enough time to get the back done for GNRS so I might leave it alone I dunno.
Thanks for all the compliments on the car.

  14. The car looks great Dave, you've really created a beauty.

Funny, I just picked up my bumper from having the chrome stripped and have 1 pieced it too. Just dropped it back off today.

Are you going to Santa Maria this year? I'd love to catch up...

    Great minds think alike!
How did the bumper turn out? The radius on the center to the ends on mine has some weird shape going on. i gotta make sure it doesnt have a kink in it when Im done.
Hell yeah i will be at pasomaria I havent missed it once in 14 years my favorite show! The plan for the hudson is just to have all the body mods done, the back, taillights, new rocker panels, radius the door edges, weld the quarters on ect.
    You bringing your car down??

  23. I think the bumper is gonna turn out just fine. I had to section the ends quite a bit, filled the holes, etc. I used a 51 center section, and am still working on a custom plate guard. The transition from the center section to the ends needed to be manipulated quite a bit with a power hammer to make it flow, but I'm having the chrome shop do that since I don't have the equipment for it. I'll send you some photos when it comes back.

I'm hoping to have the car at pasomaria...it's 2 weeks after my wedding, and that's the date I'm shooting for to have the car in paint.

    We'll see.

I'm excited to see your car in person again, and crawl all over the new work that's been done since I saw it in Sacramento last year.
