Just wanted to say thank you to BAHB K and all who where involved setting up the GM Heritage tour. Just one of the highlights that I remember at Detroit. Come on ***ies!!!
Yea, the GM tour was awesome. Thanks Bobk and everyone else. The ride there and back was also amazing. That poor guy in the wheelchair...
The GM tour was very cool, thanks Bob. On Sat us okies took in the Henry Ford Musuem. That place was incredible,I hate to say it but it was 10 times better than the GM tour.
I will have pictures of the gm Heritage tour in the next few days ... But first thank Bob K, I found that the time spent was not enough to absorb all of the cool details of each of the cars / trucks at the gm Heritage center. I hope we can go back next year.
As the others have said, thanks for setting up the tour Bob. Think they'll let you back in a ritzy place like that again if they know how you act on the Cobo escalators? See you at the Cinematic, if not sooner. - RBR
Thanks for the thoughts, it sure was fun. I really liked how you could get up close and persona with the cars, not like a museum with them all roped off and DO NOT TOUCH signs on them. I thought that the Diorama was awsome and to think it was done in 1939. It was special to walk in and see the two Mako Shark Vettes side by each. Maybe do it again in a couple of years. Next year I am trying to get us into a super huge special collection. More to follow on the 11 oclock news. It was fun doing it even though it was kinda like HERDING CATS at some times. BB
Hey Bob, sorry we missed the tour and didn't get connected with you in Detroit. But a big thanks for handling the hotel rooms. Jesse and I had a great time. We'll definitely do it again. Maybe next time we'll take him out of school. Lee
I would like to add my thanks to Bob K for the GM tour, it made the storm driving worthwhile. Here is my coverage http://www.hotrodsonline.com/articles/GM_08/slides/DSC01195.html
