Did Cragar do a 4x2 for 331/365/390 Caddy? They did, right? I picked this up earlier today... A friend of mine had this--another guy found it in a barn--gave it to him---neither knew what it fit.My friend said take it... Honestly, when I saw it I thought early olds/Y-block Ford/Pontiac maybe???? I laid it next to my 365 2x4 intake holy shit..... None of my Caddy engines have the intake off, so I can't just drop it on to be sure Is this thing what I think it is??? If so, I better go buy a Powerball ticket---it's been some kind of week. I already had a guy GIVE me a 63 Corvette body/frame/misc parts.....(another story for another time) I don't know what I did to deserve this.......
You're a cool guy, right? Good things happen to cool guys, right? Now, when can I pick it up? Riiiiiight!
Just karma coming back around for being an all around great guy. It happens to guys like you. I dont know if its what you are saying it is... but it sure looks like it'll fit! Congrats!
WOW! some sweet luck indeed. hold on to your ass though. with the good comes the bad. i had a string of "good luck" a couple weeks ago--- damn near free 48 Chevy truck, sweet deal on fenders and running boards for it. had $157.14 into the truck and got $1300 knocked off the price of a 68 Firebird i wanted when i traded the truck on it---- but for the past week i've been paying for it with a string of "bad luck". NOTHING seems to be going right in the garage and EVERYTHING is breaking or falling apart.
Oldsmobile not Cadillac but still very cool Cadillac has all the bolts in a row, and the water cross-over and thermostat are separate on the front of the motor
Okay, now you're just rubbing our noses in it! Man, you must have a helluva karma bank built up! Congrats on your good fortune.
YA that's olds for sure... Cragar took over the HORN cast and made HORN 4X2 style intakes. i would give a testical for a Horn or Cragar Caddy 4 x2 intake... Good score tho for sure...
Yes they did make one for a caddy. My boss has one for a 331 it is a 4 2barrel set up. Staggered I think.
Kinda looks like you could cut off the water crossover, and redrill the bolt holes. Try a test fit - you can have it glass-bead blasted to restore the 'as cast' texture after you cut off the excess and grind it so it looks clean.
