Okay...Those of you who missed the Pile-Up missed a really good time. Rumor was over 700 cars were in attendance.

    The music was great.

CarArtNick and Moepower almost scored with a psycho chick at the motel last nite.

The Lunar Lander is cooler in person....

    Photos to follow.....

Was on my way out bow hunting friday evening got off the eway and holy shit look at the hot rods. I started to go buy then I stopped and talked to one of the guys for a few minutes. Seems they were comming out of Detroit and had a problem or 2 with one of the cars got ot fixed and they were still headed to the pileup. Had some good lookin stuff ..

  4. They kept coming and coming.......I mean cars, darn it!! :D

The show was awesome, the Chrome Czars did it again. Django said it was something like 830 hotrods and kustoms. Seemed like more.

Same friendly cool vibe and atmosphere. People having a great time where ever ya looked.

I'll have pics and a "Auto Art of the Pile Up '05" post later in the week. Denise, you and Roadstar were missed.

    Congratulations to the Czars!

I too had a blast. BIG thanks to the Czars for putting on one hell of a good show again this year! Definately be making it out again next year... maybe even with a car of my own this time. lol

My pics are there. I was a moron and forgot to charge my other battery so I'm low on the pictures this year and was just taking snapshots rather than taking pictures due to a lack of battery life.

  7. GaryC, great pics! thanks for sharing those.

I went & can't remember a better show I've ever been too than this one,the cars all kinds, hot lookin woman & no rain, although it wouldn't have hurt the dust to have some.
The only problem I had was being a vendor I couldn't get around to see all the cars, but maybe next year I'll bring a friend to help.
IT WAS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!I can't wait till next year!!
    Thanks Chrome Czars!!

That riv stopped me dead in my tracks when it pulled in. Absolutely gorgeous.

On a random note.. if anybody has any pictures of the Pacific Mist '64 Oldsmobile with the abalone flaked roof, scallops and lace panels parked with the Czars by the gate, would you please be so kind as to email them to me. I'm the knucklehead that painted it, and I spaced out and forgot to take decent pictures of it at the show. WHOOPS!! If you would please email them to me at Gary@GCKustoms.com it would be *very* much appreciated. Thanks much!

Great photos, i may borrow a few! I bought brand new batterys for my digital and they lasted long enough to take 8 photos. I'll post mine some time tomorrow. This is what I was in:

We took the 63 chop top 4 door caddy and the 54 olds chop too, they were parked together by the bands. Great music, great crowd, great cars, great time. Was worth the 3 hour drive with out a doubt

Yeah no problem - feel free.

The red / white Olds, and the white/grey caddy right? Wish I had pics of those, but the whole battery issue again. I think I saw the Olds up at the Cheater's show this summer.. Nice rides.

  15. Thanks for the kind words Joel. I (we) missed seeing all our HAMB bud's and the other friends at the show this year too.

But I did send the car, hahah... Broken headlite and all.

    See ya soon man.

I always thought I was missing a great show by what was being said and the pictures post about the last two Pileups. Well, that didn't even come close. These guys put on a fantastic event and I'm not missing it again. the atmosphere was laid back yet it had an intensity to it that's hard to describe. The cars were great and everywhere you looked there was one parked or driving by that you just HAD to see.

Rudy, I saw your car and looked everywhere for you. Found Race an chatted for awhile (his new job sounds like it will be perfect for him, he's a great kid only that handle hardly fits any more:) ). Had about 20 people ask if Denise was back yet and about that many more that wanted to know if you still had that bitchin '32 2dr. I'll be sending you my bill for secretarial services.
Anyhow, anyone who hasn't been to this shindig is really doing themselves a disfavor. GO NEXT YEAR, NO EXCUSES!!!!!!

Lots of nice cars, I took over 100 pics.
    The Lander had a crowd around it;

Inside the building was a '32 coupe with lots of rare old goodies on it. Looks like a sweet barn find. Kinemont disks, smooth Halibrands, a Zip quick change, aluminum lever shocks, a nekkid lady column drop :D

Where was the Hamb banner? Maybe I was looking too much at cars or it was advancing age but I never saw the banner. Great show and bands but coooolddd.

You took a hundred pics and you only show us 9? C'mon, lets see some more of the barn find '32 3W coupe!!:p :D

  23. LOL Sorry to put you through all that work Frank.

I know I missed a real good time, but some things are just out of my control. The original plan was to drive the 32 sedan to the pile up along with the roadster, but not all plans work out the way you want them to..oh well.

I'm sure glad you had a good time, It would be real hard not to though.

I was so busy looking at details on the 32 I forgot to get an overall picture :(
It appeared to be setup for circle track, by the look of the front and rear push bars/bumpers, but didn't show any body damage. It had an old beer sign for a floor, and a Ridge Runner plaque on the seat bulkhead. The writing in yellow on the inside passenger door says "Pickup is door under rocker" Must be something to do with the nifty fuel system.
I don't have time to resize and upload a whole mess of pics, maybe later :p

killer show once again... on way down, carb went bad, on way back, thermo went out, and maybe water pump went bad (detection starts today, LOL, limped it home after changing thermos), also blew out a tire... but if u saw us in the primer grey 53 chev with sky blue wheels, maybe you then saw the 90 beers in the trunnk for the 4 guys, LOL... so all was forgiven or forgot about... for everyone concerned, we DID limp her home last night though!!! awesome show! only thing that pissed me off was my carb going bad on the test run after bustin ass on the thing for a week and a half... went from sitting in a field to chopped, dropped, having an interior, motor/trans/brakes put in, all in a week... ARGH!... only to drive it around a lil bit and have carb go REAL south... we left anyways wanting to get there... thanks to all taht helped me try to toss that car together, and thanks to all that showed support and asked to help on the 53........... i had a 6 pack or 2 of schlitz hangin off my belt ALLLLLLL day long... lol... pretty damn drunk ...

Here's a frontal of the lander, There were a lot of people around, making it difficult to get a clear shot. Also a pic of the H-bomb and a couple other A's. I like A's :D
