We've made some changes to the website, so take a look, and PLEASE check out our sponsors, we couldn't do it withouut their support. We have some new ones this year, from upright bass stuff to hot rod movies, and lots of hot rod goodies. Check 'em out!

As usual, we need volunteers for 2 hour shifts to help run the show. Please Please Please Please Please!

Also, we've had a slight change in the band lineup. One band canceled and we added The Pinks!

Including members of the Chrome Czars and Blacktop Barons, the Hot Rod Hucksters have more grease coarsing through their veins than blood, but we don’t know if it’s axle grease or hair grease. These boys kick off the Midwest’s Greasiest Hot Rod Show with a sound like Eddie Cochran colliding with the Cramps on a dirt track! Our new CD, Beer Songs and Mediocre Broads, will be out by then, too!

The After Darks (Quad Cities, IL)
    http://www.myspace.com/theafterdarks
These psychobilly wildcats pride themselves on being an All American, working class, PBR drinkin’, hot-rod wrenchin’, dirty drag-strippin’, graveyard diggin’ rock-n-roll band. If there is a drag strip and a graveyard in town, they’ll be there. Morris has both.

    The Pinks (Chicago, IL)
    http://www.myspace.com/thepinksrock
Take a heapin’ helpin’ of good ol’ 60s garage pop from the likes of The Kinks, The Shirelles, and The Yardbirds, then add a glop of pop punk from Blondie, The Ramones, and The Clash, and stir it up with Link Wray’s guitar and you’ve got a darn good garage band. And we were lucky enough to get them to open the show! Don’t miss the Pinks!

    Gin Palace Jesters(Chicago, IL)
    http://www.ginpalacejesters.com/
    http://www.myspace.com/ginpalacejesters
Chicago’s original honky-tonk fools, the Gin Palace Jesters are purveyors of the finest in hard hitting hillbilly Honky-tonk, Country Boogie and Western Swing. Infused with a deep and sincere fondness for all traditional American musical styles, the sound of the Gin Palace Jesters could best be described as being akin to the sounds of Country Music’s “Golden” age.

These guys tear it up criss-crossing the country. High energy rockabilly. ‘Nuff said.

These lo-fi garage rockers will bring a buzz to your evening with songs about Frankenstein, zombies and drag racing.

    Corpse Show Creeps (Minneapolis, MN)
    http://www.myspace.com/corpseshowcreeps
These psychobilly Creeps have driven hot rods to the last few Pileups with songs of love, loss, and murder on their minds. With a CD under their belt and many, many miles on their tires, these guys are ready to tear it up in a fitting end to the 6th Annual Hunnert Car Pileup. They’re worth sticking around for.

Mrs Jalopy and I will be there. This will be her first traditional event.
Tobad the 54 will not be done - but my trusty 93 Surburban and travel trailer will be.

Dude! I'm so there. I'll have to agree with Breeder about this disc. I wore the 1st CD out and I've only had it since the Scrap Drive. Hell, I think I had it in my car's player for 2 weeks strait. Bitchin'.

The Pinks are dead sexy. Wow! But the're prolly tougher than me and they'll kick my teeth in.

Hey Doc, if you need a tailgunner to ride along with you, maybe we can work something out.

We'll make sure there are enough of the new CDs to go around. We may even have a few of the old ones left in case you really, really wore it out!

The Pinks are pretty psyched about playing the show. I got some pretty good bands this year. They're all top-notch (as always!) and put on a great show. I know it will be easy to skip the bands to see all the cars, but try to stop by and watch each band play for at least a little while. The first and last bands at the show tend to get the smallest crowd, so show 'em some support. You will NOT be disappointed!

it needs all new brakes for one [ask gordon [roadkiller on here] how bad they are!!!:D:D leaks gas [bad] leaks oil [even worse] like a quart every 40 miles!
im goin to put a whole new driveline in it this winter. disc brakes, 6 out of a 77 nova, new 350 turbo, modern rear, and vintage air, heat!
ohh and get the wipers workin, and the signals, blah blah....
but im in the middle of a coupe build so im broke as hell!

maybe i can trailer up the coupe if its running by then! doubt it will be real road worthy though...like i said....im broke!:D
