I'll be there again. I'm gonna try and get the fity driveable enough to roll up there. If not maybe SilentRick will have his old Ford up and running and I can hitch a ride in the trunk or sumthin'

    39 days and counting...

These are good friends that are getting hitched and my g/f is part of the wedding party. That's ok. I'm getting a solo trip to Santa Monica the following weekend. [IMG] It will be non-stop cars, cars cars. Except for the surfing... [IMG]

Looks like all the Draggins are comin' this year..
...I'll have my '48 there if I don't sell it first, some guy has been wavin' a buncha lettuce in front of me..
...Bill,(DetroitDraggin), plans on bringin' his bad***s chopped shubox, he just picked up the flatmotor fresh from the machine shop yesterday, and is thrashin' to get it together and running...
...Rob,(Draggin6), will have either his '59 Ranchero, or his nailhead powered '49 Ford...
...Kirk,(DragginKirkus), will probably be bringing his sweet '51 coupe with the Airstream in tow...and,
...Joe will have his little Mercury Meteor, so, we'll have a whole Detroit crew there,...anyone need any Faygo?

i'm 99% sure i'll have my piece of **** there. joe, how important is it to pre-register? i'd hate to reserve a spot and find out at the last minute i'm not gonna be able to make it.
and you draggins, will that roadster with the four duece flatty be making an appearance under it's own power? i'd love to hear it rumble in.

silent rick,...the roadster is probably staying home this year. It is up and running, and Bill is slowly getting the flathead tuned,...4-97's and the timing, is a little tricky.

mike,...you should totally bring the Old...whoops!,..I mean, the "super secret roadster"(TM) project, everybody will dig it!

you don't need to pre-register, but it will help us. Last year the show started at 12, and we had 10 cars there waiting at 9. We may fill up fast this year, so the earlier you get there, the better.

there wasn't much of a parts swap last year (but one is welcome). All the miscellaneous vendors will be set up inside last year. Earlier registrations get guaranteed a spot, but if we fill up, they'll have to sit outside under a tent or something.

That's cool that ALL the Draggins wil be there.

how many days would i have to take off from work to get my 48 done? [IMG]

Just between us HAMBers, PBR will be there and we'll have tons of PBR shirts, patches, belt buckles, and beer to give away or raffle off.

Matt, should I invite Gloria to come for the weekend??? We could get one room and split it 5 or 6 ways? I'll talk to you in Frankenmuth about the details.

I am going to thrash like a mad man on the '51 to see if I can get it done by then. With a little help from my buds it might be possible. [IMG] If we can't get it roadworthy by then, we will have to bring my ricer [IMG] If that happens I promise to park far away.

Nick - does your sis fly into WI, MI or MN? There are bunch of folks coming from up north. or just drive, ya weinie. As HRLC says, the only wedding you can't get out of is your own... and that's debateable.

Mel, what happened to your car?! I wanted to see you pull up in that cool ol' barge of yours!

If his Dad won't let him drive, then he can't drive. At least I'm not the only one with the wedding blues... IF I am lucky, my Dad will be bringing my car up from Indy. ***uming we can get it roadworthy by then.

Yeah, what's up Mel? Why no car?

I really wanted the dodge to make it, but it's a matter of having time (I hate college for this reason) to give her some new bearings.... yes, Miss Charlotte's still got a healthy ole rod knock!

She'd probably make it just fine, but I truely can't afford a new motor if it does go (the parts cars got a p.o.s. for a motor so that's out), SOOOOOO look for a blue grand am with skateboarding stickers on it. [IMG]
