I had a 1957 Glasspar cabin cruiser that I restored probably 10 or 12 years ago now and I bought a boat gas cap that was a slick as snot, it was flush mount polished aluminum and it was a push button and I think it was at the time 15 bucks off at eBay... It would probably look a little too Street Rodder for a traditional car but it did technically blend in really well on the Glasspar Seafair Sedan" boat and I did my very best to hide any modern technology in that boat.
Agreed. Under hood or safely under the car is my preferred. Behind the seat or in the trunk are a no go for me, unless it's in a very safe box.
That was my first thought. I scrolled through the thread to check if anyone else mentioned it. I went to my car club's annual book sale weekend before last, and there was a 3-litre Bentley parked outside. I was looking at the gas cap on that, similar to this: Non-vented, because fuel is pumped by a manual pneumatic pump on the dash.
@J.Ukrop It's not perfect, but it might be perfect for you. Free delivery. Just three easy payments of $0.00.
I have a Jag cap in the Jag standard location on the driver's side of my Falcon. I grafted in the sheet metal recess, too. Pretty sure I have an extra one.
That looks really trick. I dont have a fuel fill figured out for my 60 Falcon gasser project yet. Always looking for good ideas. -rick
This is connected to a 22-Gallon 1970 Mustang tank. I added a hose barb to the left front corner, and filled in the original.
