Older for sure attaches to the case at the tailshaft housing. Might be for a 62-up Ford…

The 2083 # is the case part #. The application numbers are 7 number's, starting with 391. Try to find those numbers and go to shifterdoc.com. I just went thru this recently and was able to Identify mine. The levers are the stud and nut style, pre '68.

Where are the 7 numbers located?

So, making my memory go back a few months- The 2083 is the basic comp plus shifter with the stop adjuster bolts. The mount has the part numbers for the specific trans mounting and car application. If its a hurst mount it should have a part number. It would definitely be for a trans with no mounting holes on the tailshaft.

Best guess would be a toploader ford. The rods and levers are close together like the old ford. Weird mount, really far forward. maybe someone made it for a custom application?

There SHOULD be a number on the shifter housing between upper mount bolt hole and the lower mount bolt hole. That number should tell you the application of the shifter. It is at least 4 digits lon if you can't decode it, I have an old 1995 Hurst and can possibly decode it for you.

Let’s try some basics and see if this will help. No picture but the C-C dimension of the tail shaft bolts is 4”, there are a number of different Saginaw 4-spd tail shaft housings but the one I have here does not have any tapped holes on the side so no dimension for that rearward facing brace.

C-C of the forward gear levers is 3 11/16” and from the first/second to the reverse lever is 1 3/16”. Try to lay out the levers and see if these numbers match.
I never had a Ford top loader but maybe someone can help with those dimensions.

The shifter, rods and levers look early top loader Falcon (could be T10) to me, but I don't recognize the mounting parts at all.

Its not Falcon T10, I dug mine out, it looks like the same shifter but the rods and arms are different. Still could be top loader. My top loader mounting bracket looks nothing like what you have though.

Have you tried lining up the linkage and measuring it? Put a 1/4” rod, or even a drill bit in the shifter to set the levers at neutral and post what you find, you might get an answer that way. Part numbers aren’t helping, maybe measurements will.
