Are the shifter gates different between shifters. As in a turbo 350-400 would or wouldnt work with a c4-c6?

Here is a page from the 1992 Hurst catalog. I don't know why but the forward shifting detents are the same for both the TH 350/400 and the C4-C6, but the reverse pattern detents have different shapes. I guess that makes the answer yes, it will work provided you are not going to use a reverse valve body.
The GM and Chrysler/AMC/Ford forward shift detents look the same but the part numbers do differ, so maybe someone can offer clarification on that. Scan_0094.jpg
