    Yes, the pump would have to have the ability to produces at least that much pressure. A pump, by itself, does not produce pressure. The flow of the pump has to be restricted! The amount of restrictions and capacity of the pump determines the pressure and flow ,ie GPM.

    Not sure what you are referring to as a “can” .

    If anyone is interested this is the tool that was used to test pressure/flow from the Dodge Ram service manual. OTC is the high quality version but there are lesser cost versions if you look around. https://www.otctools.com/products/heavy-duty-power-steering-pump-****yzer
