No. You will, however, go to hell if you DON'T do this.

Once you look at the white arrow between the E and X you'll never see Fed-ex again....only a white arrow, lol.

Keep the radiator, and lower and extend the column and set the pedals back to suit. Build a skinny roadster along the lines of the Bentely, but remeber those Bentleys etc were pretty flimsy because the body was just there to keep the wind off the driver.( Most Bentleys for regular use had big touring and sedan bodies fitted).
The Ultimate Bentely was the late Jumbo Goddards 8 liter twin turbo . possibly the first turbo car in the world and certainly the first twin turbo . A genuine Hot Rod and owned by the same guy from 1928 till his death in 1983.
Check out the style of this 550HP monster!.

That is very cool. To me the cheapest and coolest thing to do is find an original (any make) mid-20s 2 passenger body, roadster, conv coupe or coupe, slightly modify it to make it lower (slight chop?) and mount it. Leave the existing fenders but maybe lose the running boards. Put some racing tires on those 21 inch wheels.

I was lucky enough to drool over a 3 litre Bentley every day for a week last year...no one has mentioned it, but if you like Bentley's why not consider a cloth covered body. It may not be your thing, but it's different from most anything else (unless you find a 3 litre to park next to).

  24. That is exactly the plan. Now just for those two minor variables to smile down on me: time and money. :)

Hope this doesn't muddy the waters" this thread started with but...
If you look at the painting in the background of the post showing the black boat tail you'll see lettering that looks like the photo I took in Monterey in '05. I was/am intrigued by carburetors and went on to draw a close up of one of the Winfields on the Stutz in these photos.
