After reading @Ryan 's post this morning about Frenzel Superchargers being re popped https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/the-frenzel-supercharger-co-is-back.1242226/ I got too thinking. If a guy had the money to build one, which flathead would you build? One With traditional style heads and a Frenzel supercharger or one with ARDUN ohv style heads and a S.C.o.T blower? Which would be better on the street?
$15,000 for the repro ARDUN heads! I couldn't afford it. I like the Frenzel on the correct early period car. Roots blowers on later stuff.
I’m thinking there would be a pretty significant HP difference between the 2 setups. Both are killer setups . I havent built or run the frenzel setup you mentioned but I’ve got the latter ( Ardun/SCOT ) setup in a car . it runs really well on the street , use it on a car that sees frequent daily driving duty
